Your privacy

I'm Edith Shobayo, a Licensed Financial Professional in Ontario and an associate with World Financial Group (WFG). This page explains, in plain English, what personal information I collect through this website and when you contact me, why I collect it, and the choices you have.
What I collect
- When you book a consultation or download the free guide: your name, email, and if you choose to give them, your phone number, the services you're interested in, the best time to reach you and any message you write.
- When you email, text, call or chat with me: your contact details and what you write.
- When you leave a review: your name, city, rating, review and (optionally) your email. Only your first name, the first letter of your last name and your city are shown, and only after I've read it.
Please don't send health details, your SIN or banking information through this website, by email or by text. We'll go through anything sensitive together during your consultation.
Why I use it
- To reply to you and arrange your consultation.
- To send you information you asked for, and occasional follow-up messages about related financial products, but only if you've given permission. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text.
- To keep a record of our conversations, as required for my work.
I never sell or rent your information.
Services that help me
To run my practice, I use trusted service providers, which may store or process information outside Canada:
- Google (Gmail) for email.
- Twilio for text messages and my business phone line.
- tawk.to for the live chat on this website.
- Anthropic (Claude), an AI assistant that helps me write quick replies to your messages. It only sees what's needed to answer you. Questions about prices, health, claims and anything sensitive are always handled by me personally.
- My web hosting provider, which stores this website and my contact records.
Products you apply for
If you apply for a product through me, your application is handled under the privacy policies of WFG and of the company issuing the product. You can read the WFG Online Privacy Statement.
Your choices
Concerns or complaints
If you're not happy with how your information was handled, please tell me first and I'll do my best to fix it. You can also use WFG's complaint-handling process, or contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
